41k students selected in engineering diploma merit list – Times of India

The Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC) announced the provisional merit list for engineering diploma courses after Class 10 on Friday. A total of 41,406 students have been selected in the merit list. A statement from ACPDC said that the registrations were over on August 2 in which 42,147 students had registered themselves.
There are 59,695 seats in government, grant in aid and private institutes in the state. The statement said that the merit list includes 17,395 students from general category, 3,661 from scheduled castes, 4,222 from scheduled tribes, 12,114 from socially and economically backward classes and 4,014 students from economically backward class category. The statement says that the merit list also has included 408 students from other states.
There are 1,059 students who could not make it to the merit list as they were not eligible or they did not submit necessary documents, the statement said.
Students will have to complete their choice filling by August 21 and then they will be allowed to make corrections in their registrations till August 23 and before.
