Akshay Kumar reacts to R Madhavan’s ‘films aren’t three to four months’ jibe; here’s what he said – Times of India

A few days ago reports were doing the round that Akshay Kumar mentioned he completed the shoot of his period drama ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ in just 42 days. Taking an indirect dig at it ‘The Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ director-actor R. Madhavan said that movies can’t be made in mere three to four months. And now reacting to the same, Akshay Kumar reportedly has mentioned, what can he do if his movies get wrapped up in a shorter period of time.

Reportedly, during the promotions of ‘The Rocketry’, Madhavan said that over a year was taken to make movies like ‘RRR’ and ‘Pushpa’. Thereafter, he seemingly took a jibe at Khiladi Kumar by saying that films are not made in a period of just three to four months.

Now recently, during the song launch of his upcoming movie ‘Rakshabandhan’, Akshay was asked to react to this, and he said, what can he comment on when his movies do get wrapped early. He said when the director says his work is done, he isn’t supposed to fight with him.

Baking Akshay, director Anand L Rai said that Akshay’s calculations are way off. He is actually roped in by directors under the pretext that he will be working for 40 days, but he actually spends 80-90 days on a movie.
