Anurag Basu’s next film is not a sequel to Life In A Metro, filmmaker reveals details – Exclusive – Times of India

Not too long ago, there was speculation that Anurag Basu‘s next film could be a sequel to his 2007 hit Life In A Metro. But, ETimes brings you confirmation that it’s not true. Instead, what we can confirm is that Basu’s new film has an ensemble cast and the project goes on floor soon.

The filmmaker spoke to ETimes about the supposed sequel to Life In A Metro and said, “It is a film with an ensemble cast just like Ludo and Life In A Metro. It will have a mix of known and new faces. We are yet to begin casting for the film. Right now we’re juggling with dates.”

Anurag Basu has 16 films to his credit and the last film he directed was Ludo starring Abhishek Bachchan. Basu has been a judge on the children’s reality show Super Dancer, when he’s not busy wielding the megafone. He has been a filmmaker, who takes his own time to make movies and has some really interesting films like Barfi, Jagga Jasoos, Life In A Metro and Murder in his unique kitty.

Basu and his favourite collaborater Ranbir Kapoor had planned a biopic on Kishore Kumar, which has now been shelved.
