Bell Bottom: Akshay Kumar shares a BTS video from the making of his favourite song with Vaani Kapoor – Times of India

Akshay Kumar took to his social media handles and dropped a fresh behind-the-scenes video from the sets of his upcoming film ‘Bell Bottom’. Featuring Vaani Kapoor in the recently released song ‘Marjaawaan’ sung by Gurnazar and Asees Kaur, Akki further calls it his favourite song as he revealed what makes it more special to him.

While the video captures the hard work that went behind the camera during the making of the song, it also captures the on-screen chemistry between Vaani Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. In one part of the BTS video, the actors are seen swinging in a hammock, but when they tried getting off, the two tumbled down to the ground.

Akshay further said, “ ‘BellBottom’ ka mera favourite gaana hai. (Marjaawan is my favourite song from Bell Bottom) I love the melody of the song and its lyrics are very smooth and soothing to the ears. Iska matlab bohot achcha hai, agar aap dhyaan se sune (The meaning of the song is really nice, if you listen to the song carefully.” He is also seen singing the song in few parts of the clips.

Earlier, when the film team had dropped the poster of the romantic track, it had created a storm on the internet after netizens pointed that the poster may have been ‘inspired’ by a travel influencer’s Instagram photos.

Helmed by filmmaker Ranjit M Tewari, ‘Bellbottom’ is set in 1984, the year that saw Operation Bluestar as well as the assassination of Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles.

It is scheduled to release in theatres on August 19. The audience will be able to watch the film in 2D and 3D formats.
