bjp: BJP brass meets, plans big celebration to mark 8 years of Modi-led govt | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The BJP headquarters here on Wednesday witnessed a series of strategy meetings with home minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda deliberating with senior party leaders on multiple issues, including expansion of the party footprint, senior party leaders’ visits to Lok Sabha constituencies, and grand celebrations across the country on the Modi government’s completion of eight years in office since it first formed government in 2014.
After Nadda held meetings with party representatives from across the country on booth micro-management in regions where BJP has not done well so far, he was joined by Shah for another round of meeting in the afternoon with senior party leaders including over 30 Union ministers to plan a strategy to reach out to the people with government welfare schemes as part of the 8th year celebrations. Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Smriti Irani and Kiren Rijiju were among those who attended the meeting, which concluded with Shah’s speech, in which he suggested that the mechanism to convey the benefits of government welfare schemes should be further streamlined.
BJP will celebrate the Modi government’s anniversary from May 30 to June 15 on the theme of ‘Sewa, Sushashan and Gareeb Kalyan (service, good governance and welfare of the poor)’.
In the recent meeting of its office-bearers in Jaipur, BJP had announced that all Union ministers would visit different areas across India to mark eight years of the Modi government and take feedbacks from the people on various welfare schemes..
Earlier in the day, Nadda asked the elected representatives to spearhead the party’s booth empowerment campaign under which weaker booths should be identified and dedicated party workers deployed.
