An important thing to note is that Death Stranding Director’s Cut has launched only on the PS5 and it will not be available on PS4 or PC. If you already have the PS4 version of Death Stranding (the base game) and wish to upgrade it to The Director’s Cut on PS5, you can do so by paying $10/£10 extra.
The Director’s Cut of the open-world game comes with more weapons like the mounted machine gun, equipment for delivery like cargo catapult, support skeleton and a buddy bot too to help you out, new vehicles and game modes, new story missions and areas to explore, expanded storylines and upgrades to the UI. There will also be new online features including Friend Play and Leaderboards on PS5, which will be added soon as part of the Director’s Cut. Also, the Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content introduced to Death Stranding on PC also comes as part of Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
