Animal rights activists held protests against the culling of street dogs in Kerala. They held the protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Activists held placards urging authorities to show compassion toward animals. Kerala is facing incidents of dog bites and attacks. As per reports, 21 deaths due to rabies were reported in the state caused by street dog bites. NGO ‘People For Animals India’ wrote a letter to Kerala CM and requested him to stop the culling of dogs. Due to dog attacks, many stray dogs were beaten to death by the people in Kerala.
