The Delhi government has declared a holiday for all government schools on Saturday, 03 December 2022. This decision has been taken due to the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections 2022. In return, the schools will remain open on the next Saturday i.e., 10 December 2022. Municipal elections (Delhi MCD Election) 2022 are going to be held in Delhi on Sunday, 04 December 2022. Due to the preparations for the elections, the Delhi government has decided to keep all the government schools closed tomorrow. However, instead of this, the second Sunday of the month has been cancelled. Students will have to go to school on 10 December 2022. The Directorate of Education, Delhi, has issued a letter to the heads of all government schools announcing the closure of schools tomorrow. Instructions have been given to inform about this among students, school staff members, SMC members and parents.
Delhi Metro will run from 04 am In fact, due to the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections 2022 to be held on December 4, 2022, many reshuffles have been done, including school holidays. Apart from this, the time table of Delhi Metro has also been changed. An official statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said: “On the day of polling, Delhi Metro train services on all lines will commence from 4 am to 6 am on all lines with a frequency of 30 minutes at all terminal stations.” After that, the metro will run for the rest of the day as per the regular Sunday time table.
The national capital is all set for the MCD elections, which are scheduled on December 4. Elections will be held at a total of 13,665 polling stations for 250 wards of MCD.
