Actor R Madhavan is in town to promote his next, which is a biographical drama based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer at ISRO who was falsely accused of espionage. “When I heard about his achievements which he spoke about casually, I felt a film must be made on him. His story must reach out to people,” said the actor.
The actor went on to reveal that the story traces Narayanan’s life since his college days at Princeton University to his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges brought against him. The film has been shot simultaneously in three languages — Tamil, Hindi and English. “If I had time, I would have dubbed it in Bangla too. I am from a Jamshedpur background so I love the language,” Madhavan said.
When asked when we can see him again in a romantic role like in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, he said, “I have to get a script that’s in accordance with my age. I can’t romance a young girl on screen anymore,” he said with a laugh.
