The statement comes hours after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials said that the cabin crew of the IndiGo flight observed smoke in the plane after it landed at its destination.
“There was no smoke, it was just mist due to humidity,” clarified an IndiGo spokesperson.
The IndiGo Airbus A320 (VT-IJY) was operating as 6E-905 from Raipur to Indore.
Multiple incidents of malfunction on Indian carriers have been reported over the last week.
Earlier, the DGCA issued a show-cause notice to SpiceJet after its planes had eight technical malfunctions over the past 18 days.
However, later, DGCA chief Arun Kumar said that around 30 flight incidents happen every day in the country and a majority of them have no safety implications.
