Second Weekend – 15,00,00,000 apprx

Earlier, Raj Mehta spoke to ETimes and he was all praise for the entire cast. He said, “When you cast for a part in a film that you’ve written, you don’t think of external factors. You just go by who’s perfect for the part. Anil sir was always on my mind even while writing and I am happy that when he heard it, he agreed to do it. Otherwise I don’t know who I would have wanted. And I had worked with Kiara in ‘Good Newwz’. She was bang on for the part. Varun was perfect for his part. Neetu ma’am was actually Karan Johar’s suggestion. She hadn’t done a film for a while and we didn’t know whether she wanted to do it. But thankfully after Karan’s suggestion we went to her and she really liked the script. And now in retrospect I don’t think anyone would have done it better. So yes, I got lucky with the casting.”
