After several delays ‘Kuruthi Aattam’ starring Atharvaa and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles is finally set to release. Directed by Sri Ganesh, the action drama also has several key characters, and Kanna Ravi plays one of them in the film. Now, in an exclusive chat with ETimes, ‘Kuruthi Attam’ actor Kanna Ravi shares more about the film, his co-actors and much more. Talking about how the film came to him, the actor shares, “I came to know about the film through my friend and actor Vatsan that Sri Ganesh is looking for an actor to play this role in his film. I then met the director in his office and gave a node to this role as his debut film ‘8 Thottakal’ had impressed me a lot.” When asked whether he read the script before signing, he adds, “Though I was ready to be a part of the film, Sri Ganesh asked me to read the script once. Then I came onboards. It was easy for me to sport a village look as I have done my rural photoshoots earlier.” Not only, the actor is happy to share the screen with Atharva, but also praised the lead for his hardwork. “I was happy when I learned Atharvaa is playing the lead role in ‘Kuruthi Aattam’ and his role in the film is a strong one. He looked energetic throughout the film shooting, and his energy boosted others to perform well. He has done some stunning action sequences, and he faced minor injuries. Luckily I didn’t face any injury. My friendship with Atharvaa developed after finishing the first half of the film, and he always appreciated my work.” About Sri Ganesh’s direction, Kanna Ravi says, “He is so professional and sincere. He never waits for assistants or others to visualize his idea and steps on the ground to make the work happen faster. Sri Ganesh has his own reason for detailing the scene, and his perfection makes them more powerful. He is so expressive.” Kanna Ravi is popular for his roles in the films ‘Kaithi’, ‘Mandela’ earlier, and he is next awaiting to surprise fans with a big announcement.
