Oppo has started rolling out Android 10 based ColorOS 7.2 update to the recently launched Oppo Reno 4 Pro smartphone. The OS comes with new features like AI App Preloading, Super Power Saving Mode, Oppo Lab, Quick Return Bubble and more.
The company claims that the ColorOS 7.2 improves the average app launch speed by 23.63%. It brings Super Power Saving mode to the device that helps extend the battery life. Oppo claims that the Reno4 Pro handset with 5% battery can be used for WhatsApp messaging for up to 90 minutes or make calls for 77 minutes, when Super Power Saving mode is turned on.
Oppo Lab feature brings two new functions to the smartphone- Lab Ringtone and Decision Spinner. While the former allows one to create their own ringtones, the decision spinner comes pre-loaded with different questions like “What do we eat today?” and “Where do we go this weekend?”. ColorOS 7.2 also adds icon pull-down gesture to Oppo Reno 4 Pro. The feature makes the icons move down to the bottom half of the screen, letting users move to an app icon and release to open the app, using the thumb.
For gamers, the latest OS adds Quick Return Bubble to offer seamless switching experience. The feature shows key information from the background gaming apps as a floating bubble and allows one to switch back with one easy tap on the bubble. The update also brings more than 30 sets of new artistic wallpapers. ColorOS 7.2 also features gravity wallpaper that follows the gravity direction of the user’s mobile phone to produce dynamic effects.
For those unaware, Oppo Reno 4 Pro is now available for purchase in India. Priced at Rs 34,990, the smartphone can be purchased via Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers across the country.
