Poco may soon launch OnePlus Nord rival – Mobiles News | Gadgets Now

Poco is gearing up to lock horns with OnePlus as it plans to launch a handset to challenge the recently launched Oneplus Nord.

This was confirmed by Poco’s product marketing manager Angus Kai Ho Ng on Twitter where he said, “OnePlus Nord or…. wait for the new POCO?”

Poco Global Twitter account replied to his tweet sarcastically, while confirming the launch is happening soon.

Currently, there is no information in terms of leaked specs or even a name of the handset that is expected to be launched. Since India was a big launch market for the OnePlus Noord, this
upcoming Poco smartphone is also fully expected to be launched in India.

Just for context, the
Oneplus Nord has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 24,999, however, this base variant offering 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will be available in September. The other two variants offering 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB + 256GB storage are priced at Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively and will be available this week during Amazon Prime Day sale.

Just last month, Poco launched M2 Pro in India at a starting price of Rs 13,999 for the base variant offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There are two more models offering 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.

In terms of specs, the
Poco M2 Pro has a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 2400x1080pixel resolution. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, the smartphone comes backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33 watt fast charging.
