Tesla has been on a record-breaking spree when it comes to deliveries. As per the CNBC report, Tesla in the fourth quarter of 2018, delivered 1,12,000 vehicles. In the first quarter of 2020, the number of deliveries stood at 88,400 whereas in the second quarter the number jumped to 90,650 vehicles. The second quarter deliveries were impacted by the ongoing pandemic situation that hit demand as well as production of Tesla cars.Analysts have estimated Tesla to deliver close to 1,44,000 vehicles in the third quarter.
Musk, in his email, said that Tesla has a shot to create a record quarter for vehicle deliveries but employees will have to “rally hard” in order to do so. He also said that the factory output at Tesla must be as high as possible for the next 10 days. The quarter ends on September 30 and it will be interesting to see how many vehicles does Tesla manage to deliver before it ends. Here’s the email that Musk sent to all Tesla employees:
