sardar patel: On Patel anniversay, Akhilesh Yadav invokes Jinnah with Bapu and Nehru | India News – Times of India

KANPUR: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday tagged Muslim League leader and Pakistan founder, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, along with Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel, to assert that they all had struggled for India’s freedom, reports Faiz Siddiqui.
He went on to say it was Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who imposed a ban on one ideology (the RSS) and that people of the same ideology are indulging in divisive politics now. Akhilesh was addressing a meeting in Hardoi on Sunday, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, to mark the start of the second phase of his “Vijay Yatra”.
He praised Sardar Patel, describing him as a man who had a knack for understanding ground realities.
Akhilesh said: “Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, and Jinnah went to the same institute and became barristers… they brought freedom… they never shied away from struggles … there was one banned ideology… the person who banned that ideology was Iron Man Sardar Patel.
