Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G: Features
The Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G features a compact form factor and claims to offer sharp and detailed output along with the bokeh effect. The optical path of the lens includes two AA (advanced aspherical) elements, a standard aspherical element, one Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and one ED glass element, and one ED aspherical element.
The lens also comes with an improved autofocus mechanism. The PZ 16-35mm is the first lens in the Alpha lens series to use six of Sony’s original XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors for both focus and zoom drive.
The AF system claims to deliver fast response and smooth, quiet operations. Sony claims that with the new focus system, users can shoot stills at up to 30 fps.
The company claims that they have implemented refined imagery and controls based on the feedback received by users. It features the latest lens technology to reduce focus breathing as well as focus and axial shift when zooming to ensure the highest quality images are easily captured. Focus, zoom, and aperture operations are also extremely quiet, greatly reducing noise and vibration that can interfere with movie recording.
The lens features an all-new electronic power zoom system that’s driven by XD linear motor. The new system claims to reduce camera shakes and allow users to shoot super slow at a constant speed.
