Sushant Singh Rajput case: BMC to not end quarantine of Vinay Tiwari, says only following protocol – Times of India

Sushant Singh Rajput father KK Singh had filed an FIR in Patna, following which a team from Bihar police arrived in Mumbai to probe the actor’s death by suicide. However Bihar IPS officer Vinay Singh was recently quarantined by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. A controversy soon ensued regarding the same, but now BMC has maintained that it will not let go of Vinay Tiwari. According to Times Now, the BMC has maintained that it will not end the officer’s quarantine and has also suggested that he should start working digitally.

It has also been revealed that the BMC Commissioner has written to Bihar IG, stating that they are only following the government of India guidelines for quarantining domestic flyers for 14 days. The letter also stated that they are in no way preventing the officer from doing his duties but politely advising him to use IT platforms.

Speaking to Times Now exclusively about the quarantine, Vinay reportedly said that BMC’s move is unfair and unfortunate. He also added that they are denying him of his legal rights to investigate. The Supreme Court had also reportedly disapproved the quarantine move by Maharashtra government and tagged it as “not a good signal”.
