Sushant Singh Rajput death case: CBI likely to re-register FIR filed by the Bihar Police against Rhea Chakraborty – Times of India

Bihar government’s recommendation for a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s was accepted by the Centre on Wednesday. According to Times Now, the CBI is likely to re-register the FIR that has been filed by the Bihar Police, pertaining to sections of breach of trust, abetment to suicide and cheating. Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR in Patna and Rhea Chakraborty was booked for unlawful confinement and abetment of suicide.

CBI officials are expected to travel to Patna and collect case files and other material from the Bihar police. Rhea Chakraborty could well be summoned again for questioning. However before that, the CBI reportedly plans to collect all the documents and then take the next step in this controversial probe.

Apart from this, there is more trouble brewing for Rhea Chakraborty as reportedly the Enforcement Directorate has summoned the actress for questioning on Friday. ED has tracked two major property investments made by the actress in Mumbai. A money laundering investigation was recently initiated by the ED, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s father alleged that money was siphoned off from the late actor’s account.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide on June 14 is being investigated by the Mumbai police. The actor’s family, close friends, manager have already been questioned, while filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aditya Chopra have also recorded their statements.
