Why Apple may not announce the iPhone 14 series on September 6 – Times of India

September is less than a month away and with the onset of the month, many in the tech industry and Apple enthusiasts in particular have a hard time waiting for the launch of the new iPhones. But tipster Max Weinbach has gone one step ahead and claimed that Apple will unveil the new iPhone 14 series on September 6 this year.

The claim comes hot on the heels of reports that Apple has already begun recording the ceremony-related sessions for streaming. You could almost believe it if you haven’t followed the iPhone launches closely and by that we mean the usual day every year Apple has chosen for the unveiling. We can say that Weinbach’s claim is a little ahead of the expected iPhone launch schedule this year.
Apple has had a propensity of launching the new iPhones on the second Tuesday of September which September 6 is not (it’s the first Tuesday, rather). Same as previous occasions, this time too we expect the Cupertino-based tech giant to introduce the world to the next iPhone series on the second Tuesday of the month that falls on September 13 instead of September 6.
Also there is another, stronger and bigger reason for Apple to not launch the iPhone 14 smartphones on the first Tuesday because IFA falls during those dates. IFA or Congress of the International Fiscal Association in Berlin is one of Europe’s biggest tech show and will have its 74th iteration this year from September 4-8. It will not be in the best interests of Apple to take the wraps off the new iPhones these days. Hence, our guess is still September 13 only, instead of September 6.
Apple is expected to launch four new iPhones this year. As per the rumours, these include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max/Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 and the iPhone Max/Plus are said to come with notched displays with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes respectively while the Pro and Pro Max models are expected to feature notchless displays with a punch-hole design with 6.1-inch and 6.7 inch screen size.
