It’s trending everywhere and I would like to thank Akshay sir, Sajid sir, Farhad sir. Also, Vikram Montrose and Azeem Dayani for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
Your father and uncle had a lot of exposure to different genres of music. What made you decide to pursue a career in entertainment?
I was always inclined towards singing and when my hobby exhilarated to passion, it turned into a profession.
In terms of composition, which song of yours do you like the most and why?
I would say ‘Tera Baap Aaya’ because whatever little I am today is because of that. It helped me carve a niche for myself… people call me for badass songs and that’s my identity and I love it.
What is your creative process like?
It comes with a flow. I try and get the vibe of the script and the character; that’s very important as it gives a better perspective
Your song ‘Tera Baap Aaya’ from ‘Commando 3’ has crossed more than 130 million views. How does it feel?
I still get Instagram tags and comments for ‘Tera Baap Aaya’, it’s more like a part of me and it gives me an adrenaline rush. I will always be grateful to Vikram Montrose, Vipul sir and the entire team of ‘Commando 3’.
What musician do you admire most and why?
Music above everything, I love them all.

You said that you have crooned songs in various regional languages, which language was easiest and which one was toughest to adapt?
Well, I enjoy different languages and I take it as an opportunity to express myself to greater audiences.
How do you stay relevant in today’s TikTok generation?
I kind of understand what millennials like because I am exposed to different genres, it keeps me in tune with their vibe
What new music are you working on?
Some killer tracks dropping out soon. It’s a mix bag and I am sure people will enjoy it.
