Both KXIP and KKR are fresh from handsome victories against their respective opponents on Saturday. While KKR defeated table toppers Delhi Capitals by 59 runs to retain fourth spot, it was the Mohali side’s comprehensive show against Sunrisers Hyderabad, later in the night that stood out.

But KXIP can’t afford any complacency against the Kolkata side, as memories of their earlier meeting will still be fresh in Punjab’s minds. West Indian Sunil Narine and pacer Prasidh Krishna had triggered a brilliant comeback at the death to engineer a narrow two-run win for KKR.
Narine’s cracking half-century against Delhi Capitals, will add teeth to Kolkata’s middle order, which has so far struggled due to poor form of Andre Russell. Punjab will hope that in-form opener Mayank Agarwal returns to the XI. after missing the last match due to injury.
