A Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 map has been teased – Times of India

Infinity Ward has teased one of the maps from its upcoming Call of Duty title Modern Warfare 2. The map is Farm 18. The developers posted a TikTok video on Twitter where they explain a bit about the new map.
As per multiplayer design director Geoffrey Smith, the Farm 18 map is adapted from Shoothouse and thus, will feature one central warehouse where intense gunfights will be inevitable. But for those who want a tactical, slower pace to adjust to the match, the map is mostly a rundown cement factory and should give players space to manoeuvre.
After Smith, senior environment artist Ashley Thundercliff takes over and tries to explain how the developing team is trying to find the perfect balance between realism and detail when it comes to the foliage areas where anyone could take cover. “If we go too dense with the foliage, we have people hiding in the corners. If we don’t go dense enough, we don’t sell the narrative of the overgrowth,” he said in the video.

More details about the game are going to come out with Call Of Duty: Next, the showcase event being held on September 15. We can expect some intel to be shared on both Modern Warfare 2 and the highly anticipated Warzone 2.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has got a confirmed launch date of October 28 and there is an open beta of the game coming soon. Preorders for the game are open and there are certain rewards for those who go for them.
So, all those who pre-order Modern Warfare 2 will get access to the full game plus the Open Beta Early Access and the Final Judgement Bundle (4). This bundle is meant for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone and gives you Immediate access to the Legendary “Deathknell” Operator Skin and the Legendary “Bloodthirsty” Weapon Blueprint.
