A big breakthrough in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, the Supreme Court has ordered the release of one of the life convicts, AG Perarivalan after 31 years in jail. 50-year-old Perarivalan alias Arivu was 19 years old was he was arrested in the year 1991 for buying the two 9-volt batteries used in the bomb to assassinate the former prime minister.
