Brushing aside any hearsay about film industries competing with each other, she added, “I hope our industry works together to tell our stories to the world. Stories that are honest and authentic, stories that will make the world sit up and pay attention. I hope people with talent and voices of relevance will have smoother journeys to make the films they want to make.”
Aditi expressed that the West does not look at Indian cinema through the prism of South, North or any other regional classification. She explained what Indian filmmakers need to do in the near future, “We have to be more aware, learn more by listening watching and absorbing be more grateful for the opportunities and to take pride in who we are and push out talent. We have to celebrate us first.”
Apart from having great insights in Indian cinema, Aditi is also a trend setter of sorts in the world of fashion. Her recent appearances at Cannes and other international events have made an impact, with her minimal but chic styling being appreciated all round. She revealed, “I have been stubborn and determined to keep my styling as simple and as effortless as possible. I wanted to be me and if I made mistakes they would be mine to learn from.”
