After Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung reportedly halts Android 12 update for Galaxy S21 – Times of India

Samsung recently started to roll out the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 for its smartphones and as per a report by TizenHelp, the tech giant has halted the OS update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series in South Korea. The announcement was reportedly issued by a Samsung Community Moderator. According to the report, a few devices in the Galaxy S21 series are experiencing an error. The error is said to be due to compatibility issues with Google Play. It is expected that the roll out will resume once Google and Samsung solve the issue.
A few issues were also experienced by the company’s foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 when they started to receive the One UI 4.0 operating system update. According to previous reports, the issues that the users in South Korea faced after the update included the device being bricked. A few users complained that their devices were going into recovery mode after installing the update. Some of the users also experienced camera issues. As reported by users, the images were getting automatically deleted from the phone gallery and there were some phones that delivered poor quality audio recording.
After fixing the issues, the company again started to release the update for users. As per a recent report by SamMobile, the new Android 12 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 in South Korea comes with firmware version F711NKSU2BUKL and the latest stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 sports firmware version F926NKSU1BUL4. The report further suggests that if these new software builds are stable, the company may release them for more markets soon.
The company is currently gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will reportedly run on One UI 4.0 out of the box.
