After Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran joins Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut film – Times of India

Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan is all set to make his big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s next production venture. The film helmed by Kayoze Irani, will star Ibrahim in the lead along with Kajol. Buzz is that, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has also come on board for the same. The film will also mark, Kajol and Prithviraj’s first on-screen pairing along with Ibrahim’s debut.

According to a news portal, the Kayoze Irani directorial will be an emotional thriller set against the backdrop of terrorism in Kashmir. A source close to Pinkvilla also informed that the premise of the film is centered around three key characters played by Prithviraj, Kajol, and Ibrahim. While Prithviraj and Kajol are paired opposite each other, details of Ibrahim’s character are kept under wraps for now.

Reportedly, the film will most likely go on floors in the month of January. In the meantime, the acting workshops and script reading sessions will begin in December for the trio. Some ice-breaking sessions within the trio will also be happening next month. We also hear that Ibrahim is already training to make his acting debut. He has been doing all those acting workshops and script-reading sessions to understand his character.

Karan and Prithviraj share a great bond and have bonded over various scripts. On the production front, Prithviraj has teamed up with Karan for Selfiee, which is the official adaptation of his own 2019 hit film, Driving Licence. The Hindi film will star Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in lead.

Selfiee and the Kayoze film are the two collaborations they have zeroed in on and there could be more to come.

Ibrahim is currently assisting Karan Johar on his directorial comeback film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film will also star Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan.

Saif Ali Khan’s eldest child Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut in 2018. Her first film was Kedarnath. She then went on to star in Love Aaj Kal, Simmba, Love Aajkal 2, and her latest one being Atrangi Re.
