Airtel and Vodafone Idea have increased the prices of their prepaid plans by up to 25%. Airtel made the announcements yesterday and following that VI has also announced the price hike just a day after Airtel.
As a part of the price increase, both the companies have increased prices of tariffed voice plans, unlimited voice bundles and data top-ups by Rs 10 to Rs 501.
While the price has gone up, the benefits across the plans more or less remain the same. For instance, all the unlimited plans offer similar benefits of unlimited calling, SMS and some allocated amount of per day data, but they now cost more than before. However, the Rs 79 recharge plan now costs Rs 99, but it comes with 50% more benefit than before.
