During his recent interaction, Akshay was asked whether his son Aarav would also be entering into the film industry like other star kids. To which, he replied, “Usko shauq nahi hai (He is not interested).” When he was further prodded by asking wouldn’t he want his son to carry forward his legacy, Akshay told Aaj Tak, “Mai bas chahta hu ke wo khush rahe (I just want my son to be happy).”
In the same interview, Akshay got emotional while talking about his late mother Aruna Bhatia, who passed away on September 8, 2021. When the actor was told that none of his films have become hit post his mother’s death and how he used to go straight to his mother’s room after the shoot and talk about his day, Akshay couldn’t hold back his tears.
When he was asked how would his mother react seeing a series of failures of his films at the box office, Akshay recalled her words and said, “Unki ek badi famous line hai- ‘Fikr nahi kar puttar, babaji tere naal hai’(She had a famous line-‘Don’t worry son, God is with you’).”
On the work front, Akshay will be next seen in his upcoming film Selfiee, which also Emraan Hashmi in the lead.
