Amazfit is expected to launch a new rugged smartwatch dubbed – Amazfit T-Rex 2 – in India soon. The landing page for the smartphone has been put up on Amazon, suggesting that the smartphone will soon debut in the country. The Amazfit T-Rex 2 was launched in China last month as a successor to last year’s T-Rex Pro rugged smartwatch.
The listing says the T-Rex 2 is a rugged outdoor smartwatch with GPS. The smartwatch comes with military-grade toughness. The T-Rex 2 is water-resistant up to 100 meters and can also be operated in extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees celsius. Furthermore, the smartwatch comes with five-system satellite positioning and dual-band GPS.
Amazfit’s new rugged smartwatch supports more than 150 built-in sports modes, including the Triathlon mode, automatically allowing the watch to switch between running, cycling and swimming. Further, the smartwatch can recognise multiple strength exercises. According to the company, the smartwatch should last 24 days in typical mode and 10 days on heavy usage.
The T-Rex 2 runs ZepOS, with 10 mini-apps, including an in-built app to connect to Go Pro action cameras. The smartwatch is expected to feature a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display. Moreover, the smartwatch has four buttons made of stainless steel. The T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch will come in five colours — Astral Black, Astral Gold, Wild Green, Ember Black, and Desert Khaki. We expect the company to reveal the T-Rex 2 in the coming days.
