Amazfit has announced a new smartwatch – T-Rex 2 – in India as a successor to the T-Rex Pro. The company says that the T-Rex 2 is the most affordable military rugged outdoor smartwatch having passed 15 military-grade standard tests. The T-Rex 2 claims to withstand extreme temperatures from -40 degrees celsius to 70 degrees celsius, and it can also survive 240 hours of humidity and 96 hours of salt spray.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 will be sold in India for Rs 15,999, starting July 2. The smartwatch is available for pre-orders through Amazon and will be sold through Amazon and Amazfit’s official website. The T-Rex 2 will also be available offline in Helios stores across the country.

The T-Rex 2 features a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a peak brightness of 1000 nits and a 329 ppi pixel density. The display supports the Always-On-Display feature. Moreover, the display is protected with tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. The watch’s body is made out of a polymer alloy shell, and it weighs 66.5 grams (straps included). Further, the smartwatch is waterproof up to 10ATM.
Amazfit’s latest rugged smartwatch with dual-band GPS, GLONASS, and 5 satellite positioning system. Further, the smartwatch supports 150 sports modes including triathlon mode, professional lap recording and more. The T-Rex 2 can also recognize strength training exercises with the help of the Zepp companion app. Moreover, the smartwatch also features a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 sensor and can also monitor sleep and stress levels.
The T-Rex 2 boasts a 500mAh battery, which can be charged in 2 hours. Amazfit says that the battery can last up to 24 days with normal usage while the battery saver mode can extend the battery life up to 45 days.
The Amazfit T-Rex 2 will be available in Astro Black/Gold, Ember Black, Wild Green and Desert Khaki colour options.
