Akshay Ajay Sharma, director of Haddi has been your assistant in many films like Manmarziyaan, Lust Stories, Sacred Games etc. So when he came to you with the script of Haddi, were you aware of what he was going to offer you?
I had read the first draft of the film a long time ago. Back then it was also called something else. After that I hadn’t. But I had seen him go through his process of making his short film and one can sense his desire to make an impactful film.

She came to my daughter’s engagement with her partner and her daughter Sappho. Sappho thought Aaliyah is a princess and she was dancing around her, it was the first time she saw so many people in one go. It was beautiful.
