Anurag Kashyap says Karan Johar is a ‘misunderstood person’ – Times of India

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Dobaaraa’ starring Taapsee Pannu. Recently, during an interview with a web portal, the director talked about his equation with filmmaker Karan Johar.

Talking about KJo, Anurag stated that he knew the father of the ‘My Name Is Khan’ director. Anurag further added that Karan comes from privileged and he has judged him a lot. However, when they met, the ‘Bombay Velvet’ director found Kjo to be like him but on the other side of the coin.

Anurag told Pinkvilla that Karan treats his filmmakers and directors and also gives them freedom and empowerment. The ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ director said that Karan is a misunderstood person and the best thing about him is he has his own critic.

Kashyap also added that the creative head of Dharmatics, Somesh Mishra, was a Karan Johar critic yet KJo hired him. Anurag concluded by saying that this is a sign of a ‘visionary and courageous man’.
