Actor Armaan Kohli, who was arrested on August 28 last year, was again denied bail by the court on February 22. Armaan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for alleged possession and consumption of drugs. The 49-year-old actor had recently asked the court for an interim bail for 14 days stating that he wants to visit his ailing parents. However, after the denial by the special NDPS court, Armaan later urged the court for a 2 days bail, but the special public prosecutor, representing NCB in the court, stated that the accused has been arrested under a relevant section of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for possession of commercial quantity. The actor has been booked under sections 27A (illicit trafficking) and 29 (conspiracy) of the NDPS Act. He further stated that ‘the relevant section doesn’t have provision for bail even on medical grounds.’ This is the fourth time that Kohli has been denied bail. Kohli was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after the anti-drug agency raided his apartment and seized 1.2 grams of MD. The anti drugs agency claims to have recovered bigger quantities of contraband drugs from the co-accused in the case. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
