The Army Day celebrations held at Delhi’s parade ground. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane arrived at parade ground. The felicitation ceremony was held during the celebrations. For the first time ever, Indian Army demonstrated combat swarm drones at the parade. Army Day is celebrated on Jan 15 every year. On this day in 1949, Field Marshal KM Cariappa became the first Indian to take charge of the Indian Army.
