Aryan Khan drugs case: Bombay HC rejects pre-arrest bail plea of ‘middleman’ Sam D’Souza | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood – Times of India

The Bombay High Court has now rejected a plea for anticipatory bail by Sam D’Souza, one of the people mentioned in the affidavit submitted by Prabhakar Sail, a witness in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. While hearing a plea by D’souza, who has also urged for three days’ notice before any coercive step is taken against him, Justice Surendra Tavade said, ‘The applicant has preferred the application without approaching sessions court and therefore it is rejected.’ D’souza moved court fearing arrest after Prabhakar Sail reportedly alleged that a deal of Rs 18 crore was made for the release of Aryan Khan. He had specifically named D’souza as a beneficiary. D’souza’s advocate argued that he is not arraigned as an accused and there is no FIR against him. He said, ‘During the course of (sic) whole allegations made by some persons against Sameer Wankhede stating to grant relief he had taken money’. But Justice Tavade interrupted him and told him that he won’t be entertaining his petition. He said, ‘I’m not going to entertain this. You have a forum. Don’t waste my time.’ D’Souza had also claimed in his plea that SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani gave Rs 50 lakh to K P Gosavi, a witness in the case, to get Aryan released. The money was however reportedly returned after the NCB arrested Aryan in the case on October 3, the application said. In his affidavit, Sail reportedly stated that Gosavi, Dadlani and D’Souza met on October 3. As per reports, this is how the meeting went – A person arrived in a car and handed over Sail two bags, which he took to D’Souza at a five-star hotel. D’Souza reportedly counted the money and said that it was only Rs 38 lakh, the affidavit further stated. Sail then reportedly claimed to have overheard a conversation where Gosavi and the others had been discussing demanding Rs 25 crore, out of which Rs 8 crore was to be paid to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, who is currently being investigated by a vigilance team probing extortion charges against him in the same case.
