Baahubali to Lord of the Rings: Upcoming web series based on hit movie franchises | The Times of India

Fans of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise can revisit the world of Mahishmati in a new series that will explore the journey of Sivagami. The series is a prequel to SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: the Conclusion’, and has been given a two-season order. Based on Anand Neelakantan’s book, ‘The Rise of Sivagami’, the nine-episode series will chronicleSivagami’s journey from a rebellious and vengeful girl to a wise and unequalled queen.

There was also buzz about an animated version of the popular epic in the works titled ‘Baahubali: The Lost Legends’. This was is reportedly set before the Kalakeya invasion depicted in the first movie and will focus on the lives of young Baahubali and Bhallaladeva.
