NEW DELHI: The rise in militancy in J&K is the result of the Modi government’s failure to deliver on its promise to “integrate J&K with India”, CPM chief Sitaram Yechury said on Monday. Speaking after the conclusion the CPM’s polit bureau two-day meeting, Yechury said,
“Neither ‘dil ki doori’ nor ‘Dilli se doori’ has been erased, reports Swati Mathur. On the contrary, what we now see is greater alienation and greater attacks. These deliberate attacks and targeting of religious minorities in J&K is aimed at sharpening communal polarisation, which is what the BJP seeks.
