BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2023: Notification for 247 RO and RM posts released, application from April 22 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday released a notification for the recruitment of Head Constable Radio Operator and Head Constable Radio Mechanic for the posts.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on the official website – https://rectt.bsf.gov.in/- starting April 22, 2023.
This notification was released today i.e., Friday, 14th April 14, 2023.
This recruitment drive offers 247 vacancies, and eligible candidates can apply online from April 22, 2023, to May 12, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these posts through the official website of BSF — rectt.bsf.gov.in.
Before applying for these posts, candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria set by the BSF. The age limit for this recruitment is 18-25 years as on May 12, 2023.
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories need to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/-, while candidates belonging to the SC, ST, Female, ESM, and BSF Employee categories are exempted from the application fee.
As far as the educational qualifications are concerned, for the post of Head Constable (Radio Operator) candidates should have passed 12th with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, or 10th + ITI pass. Similarly, for the post of Head Constable (Radio Mechanic), candidates should have passed 12th with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, or 10th + ITI pass.
The selection process for these posts includes a written test, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, and medical examination. The written test will be of 100 marks and will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, there will be questions related to General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Numerical Aptitude. In the second phase, questions related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be asked.
Once the candidates clear the written test, they will be called for the physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, and medical examination. The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in all these stages.
