NEW DELHI: Asus has unveiled the world’s first foldable OLED laptop. The company has launched the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop at the ongoing tech trade show CES 2022. The company revealed that it has worked with Intel and BOE Technology Group to design this device. The laptop offers a 17-inch display with 2.5K resolution. The laptop folds and turns into a compact 12.5-inch laptop.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED also features a full-size Asus ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad. The folding design of the device enables users to use it in multiple modes such as PC, Laptop, Tablet, On-Screen Keyboard, Book and Extend. The company has not yet revealed the pricing of the laptop but it will be made available for purchase in the mid-year of 2022.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED specifications
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a 17.3-inch OLED display with 2560×1920 pixel resolution. The touchscreen display promises to offer 70% less harmful blue light. The foldable laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 processor paired with Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED offers 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD space. The laptop runs Windows 11 Home operating system and a soft keyboard with 1.4mm key travel. The device sports a 5MP camera with IR function to support Windows Hello.
The device comes with military grade certification and multiple connectivity options. The laptop is backed by a 75Wh battery and it supports 65W fast charging.
