The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted searches at Congress MP Karti Chidambaram’s residence in Chennai. According to the officials, the searches were a part of the May 17 probe. The investigators also informed that a cupboard belonging to Congress MP’s wife was found to be sealed. Karti Chidambaram’s lawyer, meanwhile has issued a statement saying the CBI officials have illegally seized electronic devices belonging to Karti’s daughter.
