India reported 4,187 fatalities due to COVID-19, highest-ever single-day deaths, pushing the country’s toll to 2,38,270. In the same period, the country logged a single-day rise of 4,01,078 fresh covid infections. According to the Union Health Ministry’s latest data, the total number of recoveries has risen to 1,79,30,960 with 3,18,609 patients getting discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours.
