Deepika Padukone reveals the hilarious reason why Ranveer Singh wants to learn Konkani – WATCH video – Times of India

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently attended an NRI convention in California which was hosted by the Konkani community of the area.

At the event, Deepika revealed Ranveer has been learning Konkani and the hilarious reason behind it is sure to leave you in splits.

In the video, Ranveer can be heard saying, “I am in a position where I can understand all of Konkani seamlessly but there is a reason behind this, it’s because when we do have children I don’t want their mother to speak to them in Konkani about me without me understanding.”

Deepika revealed that Ranveer once came up to her with a wish to learn the language. While the actress initially thought it was really sweet, she later came to know that it was because he was afraid that she would turn the kids against him.

Deepika and Ranveer dated for a few years before finally tying the knot in 2018. The couple celebrated their big day with just close friends and family at Lake Como in Italy. They honoured both Konkani and Sindhi wedding rituals at their wedding.

On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ with Alia Bhatt. He has also been roped in for Rohit Shetty’s film ‘Cirkus’.

Deepika, on the other hand, has films like Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Fighter’. She is also a part of Nag Ashwin’s untitled film with Prabhas. The actress will also be reuniting with Amitabh Bachchan for the official remake of ‘The Intern’.
