Exclusive! Pankaj Tripathi: I am not the brand ambassador for creating awareness against drug abuse – Times of India

Pankaj Tripathi, who has been impressing the audience with a range of varied roles in films, spoke to ETimes exclusively. Over the course of the interview, we asked the actor about his association with the Narcotics Control Bureau team to create awareness against drug abuse.

However, Pankaj denied the claims outright, saying, “The report was false. I am not the brand ambassador for creating awareness against drugs abuse. On Anti-Drugs Day, I was being requested by a senior officer from Bihar-Jharkhand to share an awareness message, following which I created one for him. Nowadays, during the social media era, the news gets twisted easily. When that video started working, people started saying that I’ve been made the brand ambassador. Main brand ambassador nahi hoon, brand ambassador samaan bechta hai koi (I am not a brand ambassador. Brand ambassadors sell products). Awareness laana hai mujhe (I want to bring about awareness). I am also related to Khadi in Bihar; I promote it, which is at least a product, NCB is not a product. Only for awareness, I had created a video, that’s it!”

As a part of creating awareness against drug abuse, Pankaj had earlier shared a video speech for the youth of the country. On the work front, the actor is working on a web series and also has a few projects which he’s still considering. He is also a part of the recently released ‘Mimi’.
