A few Fitbit Charge owners have complained about the fitness tracker running into an issue on the Fitbit support forums, as per a report by 9to5Google. The issue is that the wearable keeps getting disconnected, which is preventing both the historic and live data to be synced with the Fitbit app.
According to the report, the issue first came to light at the beginning of 2022 in January and is affecting both the Android and iOS users since then. Rebooting the phones and other troubleshooting tricks aren’t helping, says the report.
Fitbit has taken cognisance of the issue and in a statement to 9To5Google, said that their team is “working to bring a fix to all our affected members.” However, there was no mention of the timeline of the roll out of the fix. The affected users will have to wait for some more time it seems. Hopefully, the company will issue a fix soon.
The Fitbit Charge 5 fitness tracker comes with health features like Fitbit ECG (Electrocardiogram) app, EDA (Electrodermal Activity) Scan app, Stress Management Score, SpO2 monitoring, heart rate variability, breathing rate, skin temperature tracking, sleep score & sleep stages monitoring and menstrual cycle tracking.
The fitness-related features include the Daily Readiness Score, Active Zone Minutes. 24/7 heart rate tracking with PurePulse, built-In GPS, Workout Intensity Map, 20 exercise modes, Cardio Fitness Level and more.
