Google Photos Best of 2021: Google Photos starts rolling out ‘Best of 2021’ Memories collection to users – Times of India

If you have been storing your photos on Google Photos, then you might see the “Best of 2021” Memories collection of photos soon, if you have not seen the collection already, as per a report by 9To5Google. The AI will pick the images from January this year which it thinks are important enough to be considered for this collection and show them as you load up the app.
As per the report, the images are being shown without a specific date order and some of them may not be the ones you would actually like to have in a collection like this. Google has increased the number of Memories collections this year, with more tailored personalisations for the users. This makes for daily, weekly and monthly photo stories that appear at the top of the Photos app.
If you have stopped backing up your photos on the Google Photos app, chances are that it still shows some photo collections on the top, like collections from a year ago, or 2 or even 3 years ago, depending on how long you’ve been backing your photos up.
However the AI may choose the photos, you would want to take a look at the collection, that is, if you have been uploading most of your smartphone pics on the Photos app in this year. You may even get pleasantly surprised if the app pulls out a cherished memory from the last 12 months.
