google: Republic Day 2022: Google doodle highlights India’s rich heritage – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Google has created an animated doodle on the occasion of India’s 73rd Republic Day. Google India’s homepage is showing an animated doodle with different elements of parade animals including elephant, horse, camel and a dog. Along with this, the doodle also consists of a red tabla, the parade path, a saxophone and the tricolours of the Indian national flag.
On January 26, 1950, the Indian Constitution came into effect. Along with this, the day is also remembered as the anniversary of the declaration of Purna Swaraj by the Indian National Congress in 1929. The celebrations this year are special as Republic Day falls in the 75th year of Independence, being celebrated as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ across the country.
The Republic Day celebrations consist of various cultural events which are designed to honor the resilience, history and diversity of the country. Like every year this year also the day will be celebrated with a ceremonial parade. The Republic Day parade will take place in New Delhi which will consist of tableaux from each state and dozens of bands and folk dances.
