HC dismisses Kerala govt’s petition against Thiruvananthapuram airport’s lease to Adani group | Kochi News – Times of India

KOCHI: The Kerala high court on Monday dismissed all petitions, including by the state government, challenging central government’s decision to lease out operations of Trivandrum International Airport (TRV) to Adani Enterprises Ltd.
Adani Enterprises was represented before a division bench by senior counsel S Sreekumar, assisted by advocate Roshen D Alexander.
The high court heard the matter afresh after the Supreme Court directed for such a hearing on a petition filed by the state government.
It was contended by the state government that the central government’s decision is not in public interest, that it has rights over the land, and that it is entitled to preferential consideration over Adani group in public interest as per Airports Authority of India Act, 1994 (section 12A).
