Hrithik Roshan heads to the Crime branch office to record his statement in the case against Kangana Ranaut – Times of India

Hrithik Roshan was clicked as he arrived at the Crime Intelligence Unit office to record his statement in the 2016 online impersonation case. On Friday, the ‘War’ actor was issued a summons by the Mumbai Police‘s Crime Branch.

In these photos, we can see the actor heading to the police station in his car. This is regarding the case that he had filed in 2016 alleging that someone was impersonating him and was emailing actress Kangana Ranaut from a bogus email ID in his name. ”He was asked to visit the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) at the commissioner’s office on Saturday afternoon”, an official said. The emails were allegedly sent in 2013 and 2014.

Hrithik had then claimed that the ‘Queen’ actress had been sending him hundreds of absurd emails. In 2016, the Cyber Cell also took Roshan’s laptop and phone for investigation.

In December 2020, Roshan’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani had approached the Mumbai police commissioner regarding the pending probe, after which it was transferred to the Crime Branch’s CIU.
