An illegal studio at Bhati gaon, situated in Mumbai’s Madh Island area has been demolished today. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has alleged that it was an illegal studio and was constructed during the reign of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s government.
A worker present at the site revealed to ETimes, “Two floors have been razed and the third one is being demolished now.” When ETimes contacted Kirit Somaiya, he said, “Yes the studio was illegal and there is an order for demolition of 19 other studios and that will happen soon.”
According to reports, the studio that was razed by municipal authorities was identified as one TGIF Studio. It is believed to have been constructed in 2020. The studio was hired by filmmakers to shoot feature films, short films, ad films and television serials as well.
